When I reflect on 2011 and the changes we’ve experienced as we continuously improve our customer experience, one of the first things that comes to mind is our efforts to find the best possible way to implement legislatively mandated redaction.
Effective Jan. 1, 2012, Clerks' Offices across Florida will be required to redact specific personal information, including Social Security numbers as well as bank and credit card information, from all court files before they can be viewed by anyone other than a party to the case. Florida Statute 119.0714 is designed to protect citizens’ privacy and identity.
I’m proud that we have a nearly 100 percent accuracy rate in redacting millions of documents already in files.
